Narinder Kapoor holds a Master Degree in Economics and Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.). He served United States Treasury Department for 22 years and retired in 2009. He has two sons, Sachin and Sandeep and they both are physicians. His wife, Urmila, is a health profession (RN) and was with North-Shore LIJ Hospital at Syosset for 26 years and retired in 2010. He lives in Syosset, New York.

Narinder is a Board Member of Long Island Multi-Faith Forum. He has been making many presentations in the capacity of Moderator and Panelist. He has been involved in various community projects and activities. He is also involved in Mahatama Gandhi Jayanti Celeberations (Shanti Fund). Recently, he accepted an assignment with Gayatri Gyan Kendra, in Melville, NY, to share the wisdom of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta to the parents of the school children. He also takes Srimad Bhagwad Geeta class of senior students.

Narinder is an initiated disciple of Swami Hariharji Maharaj, founder president of Geeta Ashram (Head Quarter at Delhi-Cant, India). Since 1981, Narinder has been sharing the wisdom of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta to the various strata of American society. He has been visiting Universities, Colleges, High Schools, Churches and temples of different denominations. He has profound conviction in the elitist teachings of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta He has been holding Srimad Bhagwad Geeta Havan, Satsang and Jeeyan Jyoti Mantra Meditation in the first Sunday of each month on a rotational basis at the residence of Geeta Devotees. He was also deeply involved in the teachings of Srimad Bhagwad Geeta to the students of Gurukul students organized by the Sadhu Vasvani Trust. He made numerous presentations on Srimad Bhagwad Geeta and Jeevan Jyoti Mantra Meditation at Sai Temple, Baldwin, NY and Amritvani Ram Sharnum Temple, Hicksville, NY, Hindu Temple, Flushing and many Senior Centers on Long Island.

Narinder is an accomplished speaker in the art of motivation, inspiration and Meditation. Srimad Bhagwad Geeta and Meditation is his passion and mission.

Meditation is new program for IALI this year.  It is a great idea.  In this stressful, anxious and restless atmosphere, the golden art of Meditation is the need of the day.  Science and Technology have outpaced the human development as such majority of populace is devoid of inner peace and moral strength.  Through the application of  Meditation, we will try to restore the the vitality of the individual and make the society more peaceful and productive.

Meditation Class  –  Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
The first session starts on February 6, 2016.
No food and/or drinks during the session.
