Respected Members,
Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!!
Thanks to everyone for all the support over the past two years. I had a great experience while working with you all and learned so much from each of you. I will cherish the time and memories of working with you all through 2021-2020.
With your support I have had the pleasure of serving you all as president of the largest and oldest organization in LI for the past two years. The journey of the past two years has been amazing as each one of you have provided your support and guidance for serving the community.
As you know we faced many challenges but stayed on course to serve the community while promoting our heritage and culture.
It was heartwarming to note that we all remained very busy during the pandemic period in 2020 and 2021 however we are still not out of the woods. Please follow federal and local guidance to be safe and healthy.
Once again, I would like to thank you all for the honor and chance to lead the India Association of Long Island and serve you all. Mahatma Gandhi once stated that “Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory” And that’s what we did, “DID OUR BEST EFFORT”.
My personal life’s goal is to do Community Service because “Unselfish Community Service” is Rewarding & Contagious so I will always stay involved and serve the community.
With this note I will say goodbye as IALI president however we will meet again and please feel free to contact me any time if I can be of any assistance.
Best wishes to all of you!!
Sincerely,
Shashi Malik
